01 / ABOUT THE PLACE

About this place

At Men Yoshi, two very different lunchtime favourites stand out: curry udon and tendon-and-egg rice. One long-time customer names the curry udon as a favourite, while another reports ordering curry udon with fried tofu. The menu also lists meat curry and tempura curry, offering several variations on a curry theme.

If you are leaning towards a rice bowl, tendon-and-egg rice is another option. Someone who has been visiting for more than a decade describes it as one of the most memorable dishes they have eaten. For a meal combining noodles and a bowl, set options include a mini tendon-and-egg rice set, as well as sets with plain or kitsune udon.

Choose between udon and soba, with options ranging from familiar kitsune and egg-bound dishes to curry and nabeyaki. Men Yoshi serves lunch, so allow enough time for your visit. It is described as suitable for solo diners, and payment is cash only, so plan accordingly.
